Video Screen Capture For Windows and Macintosh
Posted on 7:45 am by Paul ColliganAt this point I can't recommend a single screen capture program that works on both Windows and Macintosh. I can, however, explain what I use on each of these platforms.
For Windows I use, and will continue to use Camtasia. It is the best thing out there for screen capture and not only does a great job of grabbing screen content, but will help you produce it a half a zillion different ways. The thing makes everything from Windows Video to FLV, to Flash to DVDs. I can't speak highly enough of this program and they have a 30-day full function trial that will change your mind about all of the other programs.
For the Mac I use a program called SnapZ Pro X. It works like a charmer and outputs to many different file formats. Not as many as Camtasia, but more than enough for most video output needs.
